Race Day Details

Advance Race Packet and T-Shirt Pickup

You may pick up your packet and t-shirt on Thursday, June, 20th from 4 – 7 p.m. at Runners Roost located at 1685 South Colorado Boulevard, Denver, CO 80222.

Check-In/On-Site Registration

Race day check-in and on-site registration opens at 7:15 a.m. and ends at 8:10 a.m. Race packets, t-shirts, and goody bags may be picked up on race day. Both races start at 8:15 a.m.

Directions and Race Day Parking

From I-25 North or South
Take I-70 West and exit on Federal Boulevard

Turn right (north) on Federal Boulevard
Turn left (west) on 50th Avenue (Regis Boulevard)
Turn right (north) on Lowell Avenue.

Turn right into parking lot Entrance #3 for access to Lots 3 and 2

From West of Denver

Take I-70 East and exit on Federal Boulevard
Turn left (north) on Federal Boulevard
Turn left (west) on 50th Avenue (Regis Boulevard)
Turn right (north) on Lowell Avenue.

Turn right into parking lot Entrance #3 for access to Lots 3 and 2.

Parking is provided courtesy of Regis University. Parking fees are waived on race day. For overflow parking, please use Lot 1 West (directly across from Lot 1 East) or Lot 6. To get to parking Lot 6, exit Entrance #1 by turning left onto W. 50th Ave. (Regis Boulevard), pass the soccer fields on your left, and then turn left into Lot 6. Parking Lot 6 is located on the corner of Federal Boulevard and W. 50th Ave. (Regis Boulevard)



Bring the whole family and join us in Boettcher Commons (the Quad) after the race for food and fun. Post-race events include treats from:

  • Eldorado Springs Water
  • Nuun Hydration Station
  • Enjoy Biscotti cookies
  • Little Man Ice Cream
  • Bobo’s Mini Bites
  • Craft beer from Goldspot Brewing Company (21 & over only).

Activities include:

  • Attend the Award Ceremony for 5K male and female, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers. 5K prizes provided by Runners Roost. The Award Ceremony for Fun Run (12 & Under) 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers will follow.

  • Visit our vendor booths and learn why helping wildlife is also about helping people.

  • Go on a virtual safari with Wildlife Protection Solution’s VR goggles.

  • Enjoy a cold Goldspot craft beer in the Biergarten (21 & over only).

  • Refresh with Eldorado Springs water and a Nuun hydration drink.

  • Cool off with Little Man Ice Cream.

  • Curb your appetite with Enjoy Biscotti cookies and Bobo’s Mini Bites.

  • Stop by the face painting tent.

  • See if you got “caught” by the poaching cams at the finish line. (These cameras are used in the field to catch poachers in real time).

  • Participate in Passport to Africa (12 and under children’s activity)

  • Listen to fun music, meet new friends, and feel good that YOU made a difference for African wildlife.

Awards Ceremony

The 5K Award Ceremony will begin at approximately 9:00 a.m.

  • Prizes from Runners Roost will be given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female winners.
  • The 12 & Under 1-Mile Fun Run Award Ceremony will follow. A medal and a prize will be given to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers. (Three finishers only).

You must be present to claim the award – no exceptions.

Wildlife Protection Solutions, Cheetah Conservation Fund, Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, Big Life Foundation, ANAW-USA (The Africa Network for Animal Welfare), and Karen Kliethermes Art. Check back for more details.

Running Wild is proud to partner with Finish Line Timing to manage the timing of our 5K event. Our 5K race is a chip-timed event, and our route is USATF-Certified.
